Engagement Photos: Part 3

I told you you'd be sick of engagement photos ;) Here's part 3! For this wardrobe change, I just went super simple and super bridal :)...wearing this Lace Romper from Anthropologie and having him wear a simple white v-neck and ripped jeans. Made it a little more interesting with wearing bright floral wedges and carting around a very sad looking balloon. So funny! I wanted those big adorable balloons for the shoot, and when I went to go have it pumped up...apparently the lady didn't fill it very much because it never floated. Sad. But we made the best of it and kicked it up really fast, and then Lauren would take a pic. It's things like these that made life a little comical, don't you agree? :) Happy Friday Lovelies!

PB Date Shake

Okay so this is the most delicious shake that I've made to date. It's definitely a tasty treat! It's like a dessert and anything peanut butter is good right? Also its super filling. It's a great after workout shake. Plus it's Gluten Free and Vegan. Bonus!

Ingredients:

2 bananas

7 tablespoons peanut butter

8 dates, pits removed

1 cup unsweetened applesauce 

1 1/2 cups almond milk

3 cups ice

Directions:

1. Put all ingredients into a blender or food processor. 

2. Blender r' up! 

3. Serve immediately. Serves 3-4. Top with almonds, dates, chocolate chips, or cranberries.

Happy Monday! Despite being sick with the stomach flu right now...so sad...looking at these photos makes me so happy! Marie Claire Magazine

Hello my lovelies. So this may be a tad bit overdue, but I thought I'd share it anyways. I shared it with you all on Instagram, but for those of you not following me on Instagram, you can see it now. I kind of feel weird saying, "look at me look at me!" but I figured its pretty cool, so I'll share :). I recently was published as a guest editor in Marie Claire Magazine, April 2014 Issue. Yay! It was so fun. The experience was awesome. To twirl around taking photos is super cute clothes...um yes. Sign me up. Kind of funny actually, so the morning I did the shoot was the day after my proposal. And my family and Brennan's family were all down staying in Scottsdale at the time. I was planning on doing the photo shoot, but was (as my proposal story goes) super surprised about my engagement that was to happen the day before. So on the day of the photo shoot, I was running around and showing everyone (with whom I didn't know) my engagement ring. Anyways, once the magazine hit the store, I went out and bought 3 naturally :), and also to my surprise found myself on the front page of the article! So fun! I didn't know how it was going to turn out, so it was very exciting to see. Thank you everyone for the support and love! Hope you all are having a good weekend. Peace. xx

Oh my goodness, and on the article, I really never said, "My muscular legs are my favorite feature." But eh, whatever floats Marie Claire's boat. I'll take it. :)

Engagement Photos Part 1

Hi my darlings! Okay so I've moved. States. I've started a new (old) job back at Anthropologie in Newport Beach. I graduated (Hallaw!!!). I'm engaged. I've been kind of busy :). And okay so you know when you move, you always forget that one thing...yes, well, that one thing was my computer charger (and like 5 yoga pants, undies, socks, the works)...but anyways, I've been computer-less...not to mention, internet-less, tv-less, everything-less, actually! My new apartment is super nice, but since my car is kinda small, I could only pack the essentials in the first trip. And we all know what 'the essetials' are, now don't we? Let's just say my new closet is nice and full :). Anyways, the break from technology actually has been nice, and I recommend that everyone do it on occasion. I had a lot of time to think and to pray and to process everything that has been going on. To have a break from this whole "technology realm" is nice. It gives you a time to refocus, recenter, further connect with people, and remind ourselves that we actually live in a world that can function without all of that technology :). But...now that my computer and I are both recharged :), I'm ready to get back to it! I've been dying to share these engagement photos taken by Lauren Ristow Photography. She's amazing! So be patient with me, I'm going to post like three...or four parts to this shoot. There are just too many favorites to share in one post! Hope everyone's doing well! xo
