1+1=2

Here's a few photos that the wonderfully talented, Lauren Ristow took the night of our engagement party at my house. This is my front yard :). This is where we are going to have our wedding too! It's beautiful now, but in the summer its spectacular...green grass everywhere, underneath big cottonwood trees, slight breeze, ahhh it's lovely :). I can't wait. I grew up in such a pretty place.

And I must say I was made to be engagement haha. I just love all the planning and all of the creativity. I am a firm believer of details. I believe that its through the subtle details that make a wedding beautiful. I'm not sure how many of my readers are engaged right now, but if any are and you're struggling with ideas, just take a moment to think about you and your fiance. Who you are as a couple, what you like to do, your jokes, your memories. And from there, make fun little details reflected that of you and your fiance. For example, one of my most favorite weddings I've ever been to was my track coach, Miss B. She was a math teacher and for the table assignments, each person was given a puzzle or math question and only when they had figured out the puzzle, were they able to figure out where they were sitting. I just thought it was adorable.

I'd love to hear any advice about what you learned from your wedding? Your favorite part? If you were to do it differently, what would you do? I'd love to hear!

Have a wonderful week!

  3. My husband's grandson was married in October and the tables were named after places from the couples dating life like where they first went camping, where they ate their first pizza, etc and the description was under the name. Very cute and it encourage guests to walk around and read the other tables and meet people.
