Take Me Away...

Alas...there are more. Because I know you were DYING to see more engagement photos ;)...I figured I have to give the people what they want hehe. This was near the end of the photo shoot and Brennan started to get a little silly. A man can only go so long taking photos...ladies, you know what I'm saying?? But umm... he doesn't look so silly. He looks pretty dang hot to me :)

Photos again are by the amazing photographer and friend, Lauren Ristow. Wardrobe styled by me.

With this shoot, I just went super simple and wore my First Kiss Dress (linked below too) with the Black Minimal lace up heel. For Brennan, I just had him wear a simple v-neck tee from Urban Outfitters and ripped jeans... (one of the hottest looks on a guy...agree??) Paired them with these super cool sneaks from Nordstrom (linked below).

Kimono Krush

So a continuing spring to summer trend are kimonos. The perfect add-on accessory to complete any boho summer look. Instead of turning to necklaces or other accessories, use a kimono to add interest or a pop of color. So when thinking about how to style your kimono, think of it as an accessory. So put your outfit together, then through your kimono on over that. Wear them with shorts, tanks & tees, and jeans. You can wear them casual, or going out. If you're going out, I'd recommend a pair of skinny jeans, strappy heels, tight tank, and your kimono. Kimonos are light, airy, and most are super colorful; perfect for adding layers and a bit of style to the typical shorts-and-tank summer go to outfit.

The kimono I'm wearing below is from UMGEEUSA. They are an apparel wholesaler located in Los Angeles. If interested in finding the kimono I'm wearing above, visit their Contact Page and connect with them to see which retailer carries their brand! xo

After browsing through ARK Clothing, I can say that they have a great kimono selection! Whether you want a long, mid, or short kimono, tassel or no tassels, floral or plain, they've got you covered. Below is a collection of the few of my many favorites from their site.

Complete your kimono look by pairing your kimono with my favorites below!

Wedding Wear 101

So wedding season is definitely upon us. I'm getting married in 64 days!!!! But not only do I have my own wedding, but I am going to another three. So I thought I'd put together some ideas for all of those brides out there that need ideas of what to wear to their bridal showers. It isn't required but as a rule of thumb, brides should wear ivories, whites, and creams. Soft color palettes. It doesn't have to be a solid white, but something soft and bridal! So, look no further, here are my picks. You can't go wrong with any one.

Now, for all of the bridal shower/ wedding attendees out there, here are a few options for you as well. Leave the full white lace get-up at home and save it for the bride. But please, go all out, on a little pink or floral number! It's a bridal shower, wear happy! For summer, the big and bright floral prints are really in and super adorable. I would probably advise you not to wear black...it just seems weird to me. Even though this isn't as traditional anymore, black still reminds me of mourning (and p.s. bridal showers are no place to mourn ladies!). Try to stay in the range of bright pinks, oranges, soft blues, or yellows. If you know the brides colors, you can always try and find something that matches the theme of the wedding. I'd probably advise this as your outfit for the wedding, the bridal shower isn't as serious to match the brides color theme.

Hope you love all the picks! Have a great weekend! xo

Messy Fishtail Braids

To see the video, keep reading. Video posted at the end :). So I was inspired today to do another hair tutorial...I haven't done one in awhile, so I figured it was a bit overdue. I think that this hairstyle is perfect for summer! It is easy to do and very beachy! If you have any questions or requests for future tutorials, just let me know! Hope everyone had a wonderful day. Happy Fathers Day to all the amazing Dads out there! So thankful for mine :)

P.s. I did post the video to Youtube, so if you want to see the rest of my videos posted there, just visit the link! xo

Engagement Photos: Part 3

I told you you'd be sick of engagement photos ;) Here's part 3! For this wardrobe change, I just went super simple and super bridal :)...wearing this Lace Romper from Anthropologie and having him wear a simple white v-neck and ripped jeans. Made it a little more interesting with wearing bright floral wedges and carting around a very sad looking balloon. So funny! I wanted those big adorable balloons for the shoot, and when I went to go have it pumped up...apparently the lady didn't fill it very much because it never floated. Sad. But we made the best of it and kicked it up really fast, and then Lauren would take a pic. It's things like these that made life a little comical, don't you agree? :) Happy Friday Lovelies!
